Compensation Law

Pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages arising from traffic and workplace accidents, medical errors and torts.

Compensation law aims to remedy the damage a person suffers as a result of a tort, breach of contract or other unlawful conduct. It concerns the compensation of both pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage.

Those harmed by torts, traffic accidents, workplace accidents or medical errors need a properly conducted legal process for their losses to be compensated.

Boybey Law & Consultancy represents clients in claims for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages. In traffic accidents, workplace accidents, medical malpractice and similar cases, we support clients in documenting the damage, establishing liability and recovering full compensation.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a time limit for traffic accident claims?

Under the Highway Traffic Law, the limitation period is two years from learning of the damage and the liable party, and in any case ten years from the accident. If the act is also a crime with a longer criminal limitation period, that longer period applies.

When can non-pecuniary damages be claimed?

Non-pecuniary damages may be claimed for bodily injury, death or infringement of personality rights. The amount is set equitably by the judge according to the circumstances of the case.

Who is sued after a workplace accident?

Claims for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages based on the employer’s fault are brought against the employer at the labour court. Benefits paid by the Social Security Institution are taken into account in the calculation.
